History

Wolfgang Stevens founded Amadeus Schiffahrts- und Speditions GmbH on the 02nd of February 1998 in Duisburg-Ruhrort. Only a few days later, on 15^th March 1998 Wolfgang Nowak joined the company. In summer 1998 Amadeus moved into their office at Königstr. 34 in Duisburg – Homberg, which still exists. In 2006 Dietmar van Ravenswaay strengthened the „Crew“.

Since foundation Amadeus offers all kinds of services for short sea transports all over Europe. More details about our activities you will find in the area “About us”.

Only short time after formation the first business connections to the former Krupp Binnenschifffahrt has been made, (finally on 01.01.2008 the Imperial Reederei GmbH took over a majority shareholding to Amadeus Schiffahrts- und Speditions GmbH.)

In May 2008 the next logical step, the consolidation of the short sea department of Imperial Reederei and Amadeus has been occurred. From that time on Amadeus acts as contact point for short sea activities within the Imperial Reederei Group.
